THE AGE OF SAXOPHONE
It’s a good time for saxophone music!! And there’s LOTS of it. I’ll highlight a few of them below - for a more comprehensive look at all of my newly published compositions and arrangements, check out my NEW RELEASES page for this year.
Last year, I was honored to have had a new version of my piece Splendid Ridges premiered at The Midwest Clinic conference by the Allen High School Saxophone Ensemble (Alex Baczewski, conductor)! The piece is available through Murphy Music Press, along with saxophone ensemble versions of the other two works comprising The Grand Ledge Triptych - Seven Islands and Comets Ablaze!
The fun doesn’t stop there! Sincerest gratitude and thanks to Kevin Day, Shawn O’Kelley, Dr. Matthew Tracy, and the Owasso Saxophone Ensemble for entrusting me to create a BRAND NEW saxophone ensemble version of Kevin’s brilliant Unquiet Waters! Matt, Shawn, and this group will debut two of the three movements at THIS year’s Midwest Clinic conference in December. As with the other versions of Kevin’s piece, you can find this arrangement available through Murphy Music Press.
