“Hilltop Run” - National Finalist for The American Prize

I’m so thrilled to share with you that my wind ensemble composition “Hilltop Run” has been selected as a National Finalist for The American Prize in Composition!!! I’m honored to be recognized with such great company this year in the professional band/wind ensemble division.

I’m forever indebted to Jason Noble, the New York University Wind Symphony, and to all of the consortium members of the Aurora Tapestry Collective’s “Let’s Play” project for commissioning and supporting this work, as well as the works of my fellow ATC members Kevin Day, Harrison J. Collins, and Katahj Copley - none of this would have been possible without you.

To all of my mentors for their guidance and support over the years in helping me to define and refine my musical voice: none of this would have been possible without you.

To my wife - my rock, my best friend, my soulmate, and my love - none of this would have been possible without you.

To all of you that have supported this Michigan-born artist’s dreams of creating, sharing, and collaborating on new music with others - to those of you who have believed in me in the ten years that I have been a composer - none of this would have been possible without you.

My heart is full, and I am very grateful indeed.
