SEVEN ISLANDS - FINALIST FOR THE 2022 ASCAP FOUNDATION MORTON GOULD YOUNG COMPOSER AWARDS

Although I was not selected as a recipient of the award, I am honored to have been recognized as a Finalist for the 2022 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Awards for my band piece Seven Islands. This piece would not have been possible without the support of Tavia Zerman and the Hayes Middle School band program (who originally commissioned it), as well as the support of John Szczerowski, David Funk, and the Grand Ledge High School Wind Symphony (who premiered the piece at last year's Michigan Music Conference).

Very grateful to all of my mentors, colleagues, and friends for all of their support - I'm excited for what artistically lies ahead.

Congratulations to all of the composers this year who were selected as recipients or received Honorable Mention for this award!
