“Spring Springs” is a joyous dance which conjures up the first moments of springtime, when the snow has melted and the air is finally warmer. This short, yet lively, gigue serves as an introduction to the concerto style - it is a showcase piece for the solo violinist, violist, or cellist, while its accompaniment is intended to be suitable for younger string orchestras.
