Luminous Meditations is taken from my solo piano book "Isolation Improvisations, Volume 1" and is adapted to include the addition of string orchestra. Demonstrating educational opportunities for the orchestra in the art of accompanying soloists, this short, ambient piece is intended to showcase pianists either at an amateur level or those who are still learning how to play the instrument. It meanders between darker and brighter harmonies behind its flowing nature, ultimately resolving by finding a balance of both harmonies together as one.
