This short, yet lyrical tune is inspired by Emily Dickinson’s poem of the same name. I sought to evoke the imagery present within the poem of a distinctive, yet unique color of light appearing on the horizon when the spring season finally arrives. The melodies and harmonies of this piece create a sense of light so powerful that it resonates with us in a religious or spiritual sense - something that both captivates and inspires all at the same time.
