SCORE FOLLOWER
This short chorale is taken from my solo piano book "Isolation Improvisations, Volume 1" and suitably adapted for string orchestra. It is intended to serve as an introduction to playing divisi within various sections of the orchestra, as well as provide an optional opportunity to feature soloists at the very beginning. While this chorale is simple and stately in nature (as the definition of the word suggests), it relies on harmonic and tonal shifts instead of melody to create resonating, expressive foundations of structured sound.
