Celebration is a joyous work that invites listeners into experiencing a fantastic journey of pure energy and sound. The alto saxophone and piano both have equally important roles in bringing this journey to life, balancing chromatic and diatonic colors with chordal power and long tones. Throughout the piece, the celebration is met with sporadic moments of chos and frenzy, before eventually and slowly dissipating into to a calm, serene finale.

This newly revised version of Celebration better captures my original compositional intent and the piece's conceptual ideas. Celebration is dedicated to AJ Pratt and Liz Ames, who gave the piece its world premiere during the 2015 North American Saxophone Alliance Region 5 conference at Northern Illinois University.
