This piece is primarily influenced by jazz and rock-and-roll, a virtuosic tour-de-force with a cool, “noir” inspired style. The title takes its inspiration from driving through bustling city freeways with a cup or two of coffee in hand. A brief respite near the very end gives way to a sudden jolt of renewed energy, as if another round of caffeine kicks in and the adventure begins all over again.
